Deep Impact Brief Therapy ©

Deep Impact Brief Therapy © (DIBT) was developed by Christopher Morgan-Locke in 1999 to provide a fast yet long-term solution to many everyday psychological problems. It offers a combination of tried and tested therapies all which have proved to be effective.

It is aimed at busy men and women who would like an emotional or behavioural problem resolved without the needs for many months (or even years) of therapy.

In the past it has been thought that a typical course of psychotherapy such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) would take between 10 and 20 sessions to resolve a range of everyday issues. Therapies such as Psychoanalysis can take even longer with some treatments requiring two or three visits to the therapist each week for up to a year.

However, as a result on clinical studies since 2000 and with the advantages of new technology such a Tomography (PET scanners) scientists now understand a great deal more about why treatments such as Clinical Hypnosis work and in most cases work quickly if given by a properly trained therapist.

In 2004 for the first time a number of medical schools around the UK introduced a clinical hypnosis module for training doctors and in some hospitals Hypnotherapy forms part of standard treatment for many psychosomatic and medical conditions (IBS, Hypertension etc.).

Deep Impact Brief Therapy is a combination of the very best treatments which work on a very deep level and which work very quickly in comparison to other treatments. Such treatments include the use of Clinical Hypnosis, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). A typical course of DIBT would be between 2 and 6 sessions.
